A strong domestic economy is vital to our nation’s place within a global market, and through sound economic policy and the determination of American workers, the United States has risen to become the fastest-growing economy of any major industrialized nation in the world.

Just within the month of January 2006, over 193,000 new jobs were created, and the unemployment rate dropped to a four year low of 4.7%. In order to maintain this growth rate, I intend to support policies that will reform tax laws, improve health care, and support small businesses. Economic growth is a reality for Americans today, and with your support, I will work to ensure that it will be a reality for Americans tomorrow as well.
