Should Obama Be Exempt From Obamacare?

If you think it's wrong for President Obama to be exempt from his own health care law, sign my petition.

On page 157 of the Democrats' health bill that President Obama signed into law on Tuesday, March 23rd, a provision mandates that Members of Congress and their staff purchase insurance within the health insurance exchanges, but the President, Vice President and Executive Branch appointees are curiously exempt from participation in the new exchanges.

I introduced a bill (H.R. 4951) that would close the loophole that exempts the individuals who wrote the new law from being covered by plans operating in the exchanges.  President Obama and Congressional Democrats should stop asking the American people to make sacrifices they are not willing to make themselves.

If this exchange is good enough for millions of Americans -- as Democrats contend -- then it should be good enough for the politicians who pushed so hard for this bill's passage.  Join with me in calling for an immediate up-or-down vote on this common-sense legislation and call your representative today.
